Registration now open for the 2018-19 adult hockey season

Amarillo Adult Summer Update

The 2018-19 hockey season is quickly approaching. The ice will be available by August 23rd, or sooner. Hockey is growing tremendously in the Panhandle, including the adult leagues. Our goal is to field four B League teams, and four A League teams this season. Each team will be affiliated and play back-to-back on the same nights. For example: The Wranglers B team will play the Gorillas B team, directly followed by the Wranglers A team vs. the Gorillas A team. This will make scheduling, referees, score keepers, goaltenders and player movement a lot more accessible on a night to night basis. If the A teams need players to fill their roster, the B affiliated players will be in the arena and ready to go.

Each player is responsible for selecting the level they want to play at (A or B). There will be no extra charge for B players playing as an affiliate in the A league. There is also no guarantee that an A team will need B affiliates either. The Amarillo Hockey Operations board reserves the right to make any roster changes necessary, at any time if it is in the best interest of the leagues.

Here is some important information, so please read carefully and understand the timeline and deadlines for registration and other events.

Adult Learn to Play

We are very excited to announce our new Adult Learn to Play pilot program. Amarillo will be the first rink in Texas to simulate the Dallas Stars Youth Learn to Play program. A separate flier and information letter will be sent out with all the details. We are expecting 12-30 new players that will transition into the B league this season.

Adult Drop In

The Bulls will place drop in hockey on the monthly Civic Center schedule as the availability of ice permits. Each session will cost $10 and will be cash only. We will not be pre-selling punch cards this season. The schedule will be updated monthly on Sport Engine and on the Bulls website.

We appreciate your dedication and commitment to hockey in Amarillo! We are very excited to start a new chapter, with more teams, and more players. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the Program Director, Austin Sutter.
